Maura Kitchens West

Working Student

Maura Kitchens West (she/they) is a Working Student at SEEK Development where she is a member of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and Donor Tracker project teams. At SEEK, she publishes policy updates for the Donor Tracker’s Weekly Digest and co-manages social media campaigns for the Donor Tracker project and SEEK Development.

Maura brings to SEEK her experience in foreign policy, global development, and advocacy. Prior to joining SEEK, Maura obtained a fellowship with the Auerbach Global Impact Foundation, where she supported the foundation with research, strategy development, and marketing. Maura is interested in corporate social responsibility, alternative economics, and data visualization for increasing accessibility. Additionally, Maura is a crisis counselor with Crisis Text Line and is passionate about inclusive mental health accessibility.

Maura is pursuing a joint master’s degree from Humboldt Universität zu Berlin and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in Political Science. She is a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill with a bachelor’s degree in Contemporary European Studies with concentrations in Geography, Economics, German, and Spanish.
