Lydia Sung
Intern
Lydia Sung is an Intern at SEEK Development. She brings with her cross-cutting experience in research, communications, and project management gained from various sectors. She was drawn to SEEK because of her interest in helping public sector and purpose-led organizations deliver better social impact.
Before joining SEEK, Lydia worked with the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) in Cambodia on shock-responsive social protection in the country. She also worked as the Project and Communications Manager at Good Lab, a Hong Kong-based boutique consultancy focused on community engagement for the public and social sectors. Prior to her transition from journalism, she was a reporter with Reuters, Radio Television Hong Kong, and other media outlets covering politics and social affairs.
Lydia is pursuing a Master’s in Public Policy at the Hertie School of Governance in Berlin. She also holds a Bachelor’s in Journalism with a second major in Politics and Public Administration from the University of Hong Kong. In addition to being fluent in English, Lydia is a native Cantonese speaker and is proficient in Mandarin. She is also a beginner in German.
