Awuor Ouma

Awuor Ouma is a Consultant at SEEK Development where she focuses on supporting international development clients to formulate long-term strategies to transform core operations. She brings exceptional strategy and operations, project management, monitoring and evaluation, research, business development, and operational capabilities in both the public and private sectors.

Prior to joining SEEK, Awuor served for more than 6 years in various capacities in the global health, management consulting, and pharmaceutical fields. She worked at Deloitte Consulting Limited East Africa – Strategy & Operations for 5 years where she supported both public and private sector clients within and outside Africa; she specialized in strategy formulation and execution, business modelling, and funds and program management. Recently, she served at Merck in the Schistosomiasis Elimination Programme, aiming to eliminate the disease through integrated initiatives, where she supported project management, rollout, and implementation of the program supply chain MEAS (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Sustainability) framework. Her other accountabilities included technical assistance and coordination of the local manufacturing project for Praziquantel (PZQ) in Africa, and she supported the coordination of the donation of 250 million PZQ doses to vulnerable populations. 

Awuor holds a bachelor’s degree in Population Health from Kenyatta University and has completed all coursework for a master’s in Health Economics from the University of Nairobi. Additionally, she completed a certificate program in Leading Change at the University of Cambridge. In addition to her native language Dholuo, Awuor is fluent in English and Swahili; she is also beginning to learn German.
