Lauren Ashmore
Associate Consultant
Lauren Ashmore (she/her) is an Associate Consultant at SEEK Development. Lauren brings eight years of cross-sector experience from the fields of climate action, development finance, development cooperation and education. At SEEK, she is passionate about climate action and agricultural adaptation and contributes to strategic advocacy for international clients from private foundations, NGOs, and multilaterals.
Lauren uses her expertise in climate action and development finance to support clients with advocacy objectives and in-depth research on their priorities.
Previously, Lauren worked as a Climate Action Lead and Project Manager at Development Reimagined, where she managed research across diverse areas of climate action. With a specific focus on South-South cooperation, she analyzed how countries are using tools such as NDCs and SDGs to build a more climate-resilient future. Lauren also worked at the Council of Europe, where she gained experience analyzing the Council’s external relations with international organizations and member states, and communicating these findings through policy briefs and summary reports.
In her career to date, Lauren has lived, studied and worked in six countries from the Americas to Europe and Asia, allowing her to achieve a high proficiency in both French and Spanish. She pursued her interest in global affairs through a master's degree in International Relations at Leiden University.
