Dr. Jacob Sarfo (he/him) is an Associate Consultant at SEEK Development with more than 5 years of experience in research and international development cooperation. With vast experience in agriculture and food systems transformation, climate protection and adaptation, stakeholder engagement, research and data analytics, as well as a passion for development policy, he supports a number of projects at SEEK.
Dr. Sarfo worked as a research assistant at the University of Göttingen, gaining vast expertise in research and data analytics on the socio-economics of agriculture and food. He also led the implementation of a transdisciplinary baseline research project and stakeholder engagement across Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda. Dr. Sarfo also worked with a CGIAR research center, Bioversity International, in Kenya to help address food insecurity and nutrition issues among women and children. He worked with the GIZ in Germany and Ghana, where he supported in providing strategic advice to Germany’s BMZ and CGIAR on agriculture research and policy.
Dr. Sarfo additionally worked for Ghana’s Ministry of Food and Agriculture, supporting a World Bank project to boost agriculture technology and food production.
