We are looking for a global health expert, with extensive knowledge and experience on nutrition to provide 25-30 days of support throughout 2024 (on average 0.5 days/week but might vary depending “peak” engagement times around events/government meetings) in France for one of our clients - a leading US-based philanthropic organization dedicated to fighting global child malnutrition through cost-effective interventions.  

This role is critical in supporting our advocacy efforts in France. The Consultant will be responsible for managing and supporting various initiatives throughout 2024, with a focus on strategically planning engagement, managing relations with key officials and stakeholders, and supporting event planning and policy monitoring. The Consultant will report to the Berlin office of SEEK Development.

Based on this, we would like to identify and recruit one global health expert with experience working in France. This role will be remunerated; daily rates to be discussed with prospective candidates.

Time investment: The Consultant is expected to dedicate 25-30 days of support throughout 2024 (on average 0.5 days/week but might vary depending “peak” engagement times around events/government meetings)

ABOUT YOUR ROLE

As a Nutrition Consultant for France, you will work on the following tasks on an ongoing basis until December 2024: 

  1. Support relationship building with French officials and stakeholders, ensuring timely scheduling and follow-ups
  2. Establish and maintain connections with key stakeholders, including facilitating introductions when necessary
  3. Monitor the policy landscape and provide intelligence and updates as needed
  4. Support the development of advocacy materials and publications on relevant topics.
  5. Attend in-country meetings and events as required
ABOUT YOU

WHAT MAKES YOU A GREAT FIT FOR THIS EXCITING ROLE:

  • Background in global health, nutrition, or a related field, with specific experience in advocacy or policy
  • Proven experience in advocacy, government relations, or a similar field in France
  • Strong understanding of the political and policy landscape in France
  • Existing relationships with relevant individuals in government, parliament, and CSOs in France
  • Familiarity with the global health and nutrition landscape in France
  • Event planning and stakeholder management experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
  • You are based in France and speak French and English
