Climate change is a significant threat to growth and is projected to push up to 132 million people into poverty over the next 10 years, with a disproportionate impact on the world's most vulnerable. At the same time, major gaps persist in financing for climate adaptation. If not addressed, insufficient or ineffective financing will continue to impact the livelihoods of communities everywhere and will slow down progress on key global development efforts.
At SEEK, we firmly believe that climate and development topics must go hand in hand to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. Our teams hence work at the intersection of climate with other areas of development, in particular: agriculture and food systems, water and sanitation, health and gender. We are dedicated to supporting organizations with shaping their climate agendas based on cutting-edge data analysis, rethinking their organizational approaches to delivering the most impact, and building strong coalitions to increase support towards climate adaptation topics.
We work with multilateral organizations in the space such as the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR), the Global Water Partnership (GWP), leading NGOs such as WaterAid and AGRA, as well as large philanthropies such as the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
