Alina Hemm
Senior Consultant

Alina Hemm is a Senior Consultant at SEEK Development. She brings sectorial experience in gender, conflict management, and human rights, gained from working in the fields of global development and foreign policy. At SEEK, she focuses on strategic advocacy as well as resource mobilization and contributes to client projects related to the German development policy space.  

With in-depth understanding of development polices and expertise in advocacy, she supports international clients from private foundations, NGOs, and multilaterals with their strategic advocacy and resource mobilization efforts as part of the Germany expert team at SEEK.

Previously, Alina worked at the advocacy department of Human Rights Watch, gaining solid domain knowledge of advocacy in international development and German foreign policy. She had also worked at the German Parliament and the Bureau for Institutional Reform and Democracy—a development consultancy in the field of democratic governance and institutional strengthening. Outside of work, she volunteered as head of public relations in an Ethiopian women's rights organization.

Alina holds a Joint Master’s degree in Peace and Conflict Studies from the University of Kent and the University of Marburg and a Bachelor’s degree in Governance and Public Policy from the University of Passau, where she focused on international relations and human rights.
