
David Salinas is Director, Global Health at SEEK Development. He brings over 25 years of experience combining operational leadership within major global health and philanthropic institutions with management consulting across diverse clients—a blend that grounds his work in implementation realities while bringing broad strategic perspective. His expertise includes strategy,organizational development, transformation, governance and partnerships.
David leads SEEK’s Global Health practice, supporting foundations, multilaterals and other actors to craft transformative strategies, build effective organizations and navigate change. He advises senior leaders—often in complex, multi-stakeholder, politically-sensitive settings—helping them address major challenges and capitalize on opportunities.
Previously, David was an independent senior advisor to global health entities; Chief Operating Officer at Porticus, a large international foundation; Director of Country Support at Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance (responsible for grant making across Gavi’s 73-country portfolio); the first head of strategy and policy at the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria; and an engagement manager at McKinsey & Company, focusing on philanthropy, non-profit management and global health.
David is based in Geneva. He holds a Master’s degree in Physics from Cornell University and a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Mathematics from the University of Sydney. He is fluent in English and French.
