
Ed Ashcroft (he/him) is Senior Consultant at SEEK Development. He brings wide-ranging skills in social impact strategy developed over ~6 years including in the UK government and global philanthropy. At SEEK, he is a member of the development finance practice.
With thematic experience in global health and international development and skills in strategy, problem-solving, research & analysis, and facilitation, he supports clients across SEEK’s portfolio – focusing on identifying innovative, sustainable and impactful ways of financing pressing topics and shaping strategic advocacy.
Prior to SEEK, Ed was a Strategy Manager at Wellcome, where he advised on corporate strategy and strategic projects. This included helping the organisation to develop its international funding strategy and incubate new funding programmes in Sub-Saharan Africa and Southeast Asia. He gained practical experience of the development finance landscape and valuable skills leading international consultations in Nairobi/Bangkok, analysing funding opportunities, and developing social impact investment strategies. Ed began his career at the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office and previously interned for an international education social enterprise working in Africa and Asia.
